I just listed a couple of the New Maya Road Chipboard books as well as a few other items in the store and I can not wait to get my samples done of these items. I love Maya Road, and we are testing out their Mists and I got to tell you they are really nice. I have some of the glimmer mist, and after using the Maya Roads ones I may have to switch over to those. We will be ordering these to sell in the store now that we have had a chance to check them out. We hate to buy things to sell if we don't know how they work, as we want everything we offer to be great quality and easy to use.
I am excited to show you the memo boards that we found and I think you will love this project too. We just have to figure out how to ship these and then they will be added to the store.
These boards are both a write on wipe off board, as well as a magnet board. They are fun to decorate and with mine, I used my fired brick ink and rubbed it into the wood. I used a wood stamp all around the edge with some stazOn ink, and then finished the frame off by taking some scotch glue, a little water, and then added some glitter to it, and painted that all around the frame to seal it up. The Flowers were inked, stamped, and then added to the frame. I glued the paper to the memo board, and then added the lace. This was a super quick project to make and would be a great gift or not... I want to keep mine!
We are looking forward to our first give away and we are already planning on more so good luck to each of you, and if you don't win this die, hold on because you could win our next give away!
Happy Scrappin! Carol

Making buttons
I love making these buttons and I hope you will too. They are so quick to put together although they do take some time to dry. I stated in the video that they dry in 1-2 hours, and in reality they take 4-6 hours, so an over night drying is not a bad idea. you can also make these using paper on the back, or even fabric. Add them to your card with just a ribbon tied on it, or add it to the center of a flower. Another way I have used these, is to punch just one hole in the center and then adding a brad to it for a double flower center. Hope you have fun, and please post pictures of your finished project!

Sparkling All Over
We just received our glitter order and I am putting them in containers for our kits. I have glitter all over, in my hair, on my face, my shirt, and I even noticed that Sam our pup has a tad bit more shine than he did when he got up this morning....
I am working on a new how to video, so if you want to learn how to make your own buttons that will match your project check back soon!!
I am also very jazzed as we just received notice that our Maya Road order has shipped and will be here on Friday! You all are just going to love the kits we put together using this stuff. I can not wait, as this is a company that is close to my heart and I could just pack up and move to their warehouse to live. They have such good ideas too...
Well hope your all having a beautiful day, and that you take some time to do somthing just for you.. Your worth the time so take it !

Wow!
I just read Barrie's post and I am humbled and blessed by her words. I too had a vision once, and that was to open a scrapbook store, one where women could come, feel at home, and enjoy their scrapping pleasures. Well, the dream came true, and I opened my store. It was wonderful, fun and I met a ton of really great people. Then the economy started to change and we had to face the reality that we were a pleasure purchase, and people were really cutting back on buying scrapbook supplies. After many months of painful discussions my husband and I decided to close the store. There were tons of tearful good-byes and so many hugs that I knew that even though we were only open for a few years, we had made a difference, and that my customers had made a difference in me.
Just after closing the store, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and because I was home now, I was able to be with her during everything she had to go through, radiation, chemo, surgery. I spent two years taking care of her, and watching her get well again! So then the search began as to what direction I wanted to go, what did I want to do. I knew I had crafting in my blood and that I needed to do something in that industry. I was working part time for a friend, doing some listings for ebay and also doing some designing, but it just didn't seem like the fit for me. But during that time, I was introduced to Barrie and that was when I felt that I would find the place I wanted and needed to be. Barrie is so loving and giving that I knew we would work well together and we would have the same visions as to how we wanted our future to be.
Yes we are just getting started, and we have so many visions of what we want to do, and all the things we see happening but as we begin this journey, we above all else, want our customers to know, that your not just someone who comes to purchase from us, but that we cherish you, and we want to get to know you, to know what is important to you and what you need from us. We want our community to be interactive, and we want to have fun.
So thank you Barrie for your Birthday wish, for your beautiful heart, your fun loving ways, and for letting me grab onto your shirt tails and join you on this wonderful journey.

Happy Birthday Carol
As the day comes to an end...the day being Carol's 50th Birthday...I thought I would share a thought with you all.
Something Carol said to me the other day really hit home and made me realize even more a decision I made a while back was indeed a good one. When I decided to open a store I had a dream...a vision in mind and I started out with a partner that just didn't work out.I also had a dear friend that I was trying to help out by giving her a job...but that didn't work out either. They just didn't get it. I didn't just want a store ...I wanted a place where friends could come and chat and share what they do best...SCRAP...I also want to teach everyone what I have learned in the thirteen years that I have been paper crafting. Face it!...I have already tried all the products...made all the mistakes and have tubs and bins full of the stuff I wish I would have never spent money on. I want to show you all how products work and all the things you can do with what you already have. And I want to be able to offer you the products I feel are the best available at a reasonable price.
BUT...I don't want just customers...I want friends. I have so many wonderful customers all over the world and I talk to many, many of them. They are all so sweet and so interesting.
Ok...let me get back to my thought. After my partner flopped and my girlfriend took a hike I picked my butt up off the floor and started over. First I had to dig myself out of the mess left by the ex-partner. Carol was working for her at the time and just doing some Ebay listings for me here and there. As I got rolling again I asked Carol to do a few more things. Little by little things started to come together and I thought maybe...just maybe I will see my dream come true. A month or two had gone by and I was asking Carol for help with some other things and to my surprise most of it had already been done by the time I woke up in the morning. It was so refreshing ...Carol knew how to do so much...and I didn't have to teach her or drag her around with me and tell her what all the different things are. There is so much more to this story but I am giving you the condensed version. After just starting over and having to rebuild the store I couldn't really afford to pay Carol much for the work she was doing...and that was when the light went on!!! I asked her if she wanted to help build this project into something really fun and really great. She jumped at the chance and dug her heels in and we both have been working very hard to see this come to life. I took her to the CHA with me and we had a blast! But more than that we worked so well together and really focused on what we needed to order and get done at the show. Little by little I am realizing that I made a good decision asking Carol to share this dream with me.
Yes...I'm getting to the point of my story. Well she and I have been working together since a little before Christmas. I love having someone to bounce around ideas with and to talk over the things that pop up. We talk a little about what we want to do but I never have really told her my dream...Then the other day...out of the blue... Carol says... " I don't just want a store...I want a community...a family. I want to know all our customers and have a place where we can all chat and have fun." OMG!!!! she gets it!!!! Remember...I said I have a dream?? I almost fell on the floor! She truly has the same vision...the same goal..It made my heart melt and more than anything....made me realize I had made a very, very good decision asking Carol to be my sidekick...just two gals having fun...

New Kit With Video
Hey All..
I finally bit the bullet and did my first video featuring our newest mini book kit, and even though it was my first one, I was pretty ok with it. I know I will get better as time goes on, and it really is hard to get that first one under your belt. Barrie did a great job with hers so that encouraged me greatly. I hope you enjoy it, and you can now purchase this kit on our website at scrapadabadoo.com !

New Kit
Hi All,
I have been working hard to get a new kit ready for the website and I think I have it!
I Made a sample with the kit (See the Picture on the Right) to show you what you can do with it. I chose a friendship theme, but you could do so many other things with it. This would be a perfect mini book for Mothers day, friends, baby, and the colors are even masculine enough to make something for a man. Our kits will focus on many different things, but mostly we want to share our love of diecuts with you and so you will find a ton of them in each kit. I can not wait to see what each of you will come up with for this kit, and I know you will have a lot of fun putting it together. Look for the kit to be on sale in the store soon.

I'm Here!!
Hi Everybody...I really am here! There has been so much to do behind the scenes since we got back from the CHA. I can't wait to show you all the wonderful things we found for you to play with.
I have put almost everything on sale in the Ebay store to make room for all the new stuff so please take a look and take advantage of all the great prices. I even marked down the brand new Martha Stewart punches!
By now you all have seen Carol's amazing craft room. I would kill for that space but alas...I live in Paradise and have had to make sacrifices...one of which is space. I am carving out a craft space for myself but nothing like my buddy's.
We have loads of fun things coming in for you guys to play with. One thing I am especially excited about is the new Score Board from Martha Stewart. I love to make boxes and envelopes, pockets and folders and with all the score lines on this board I have so many options. Plus it has a diagonal insert to make any size envelope and odd shaped containers and cards. Now the best part...the price! This will retail somewhere around $22. I can't wait to do the demo on this. They will be here in a few days.
Carol has been really busy putting together all kinds of projects with all the new paper and goodies we found. She will be putting them up for you all to gain some inspiration and get your creative juices flowing. She never ceases to amaze me...she is so awesomely talented. She is also putting together kits of all the projects you'll see and they are filled with gorgeous new papers...loads of Bling!!...brand new ribbons and lace...glitter galore...plenty of pearls...Well you'll just have to wait and see. I promise it will be worth the wait.
One more thing before I head off to bed...I want to congratulate my adorable friend Marion on her new venture with Prima. She and Prima are a perfect match and I'm sure we are all waiting eagerly to see what she does with them.I want to wish her loads of fun and lots of success on her new journey...Love you QT...
Nitey nite,

All Done
Spring Cleaning
I was starting to feel like my scrap room was closing in on me, so it has become time for a spring cleaning. We turned our single car garage into a spare room, and of course that's the room I chose for my own now that the kids are all gone. Anyway I have pretty much gotten through it, and now need to do the fine tuning, but boy has it been a ton of work. I find that I am a paper hoarder, a container junkie (love lunch boxes) and never can seem to throw out a scrap of paper. Here are a couple pictures of my room at its worse, and I will of course post some of when it is finished too.
One of the things that I did, was to get rid of a large wooden ribbon rack, and went to an over the door shoe hanger to hold it all. I feel like I have added a ton of room by doing this and it works great too. My hubbie had to alter it a bit for me, as the poles were a little too large for the spools, so we bought new dowels, and he cut them down to fit. He also put up racks for my punches(he used the extra poles from the shoe rack) , the Marvy ones are on one wall, and the Martha ones are on another. It will sure be nice when it's done, and I now know what I have, and where everything is. I will share some of my organization tips with you as soon as I can get some pictures taken to share.
Let us know some of your storage, and organization tips. How do you store your papers and supplies? Take some pictures and show us your space..
I hope you all have a great day, and that you are able to take some time to create something today!

Super Bowl Sunday
Ok ladies, how many of you actually sit and watch the Superbowl? I tend to tune in to the commercials, and tune out the game itself. Every year, my hubbie and I bet on the game, he gets to choose his team, and I get to choose the bet. I usually choose something like, wash the cars and clean them out once a month or put the dishes away for 3 months etc. I figure that way if I loose, these are things I do anyway, so it's not really a loss on my part right? We have not decided on the actual bet this year, but I do get to take the New Orleans Saints for my team, so root root root for the Saints so what ever the bet is I win!!
I am going to work in my craft room during the game, with my own plate of the Game Day food, a hazelnut latte, and of course I will have the game on in there so I can watch the commercials.
What are you doing for the day? Are you having or going to a party? Did you prepare a special Superbowl dish? If you did make something special, we would love for you to share it with us as I know I can never get enough recipes to try.
Did you all see the new charms that we listed on the website? I have yet to receive my bag of them, but Barrie assures me they will get put in the mail this coming week and I can not wait ! I love adding charms to my mini books, and this bag looks like it has a charm for each and every theme that you can think of. I have a little mini book that I made out of the Sizzix Bigz XL Die (sold in the store) And I also made a memo holder out of it as well, and the bear charm fit just right with the Mini baby book.. have a look
I have so many Ideas for this diecut, and I know that I am going to make one of these for each of the Mom's in my family for mothers day. I will actually add a picure of each of them with their families on the inside cover to personalize it, and to make it special. With this die, or die cut, you can sure use up some of those scraps you have laying around, and I will be cutting out some of the memo holders and selling them in the store pre cut, and ready to decorate!! They are cut from chipboard, and all you have to do to cover it,is to trace it onto your paper. and then cut it out. I did spray the inside of the Memo Holder with some tattered angels, and I must say, the chipboard is beautiful when sprayed. We have ordered in some of the new Maya Road Spray, and we can't wait for it to come in so we can play with it. We were blown away by its vivid colors, and the clear glimmer made my heart go pitter patter!!
Anyway, This is what I worked on yesterday, I hope you like it, and look for the dies in the store, or the chipboard pre cut diescuts there later in the week too.
Have a great day, enjoy the game, or not, but whatever you do today we hope you are as blessed as we are !

Notebook Pictures !!
Here are some Pictures of the Sizzix Scoreboard Notebook Pocket Die... I used scrap paper on the front and kept the pink and black theme for all the pages. This Notebook Pocket will hold about 6 pages and I did some of mine pretty chunky so if your more into the flat pages it will probably hold more..
Just add some punches, ribbon, bling and OH MY !!
Tada!!
We can do this as a kit if you want, Just let me know and I will get right on it!
New Dies From Barrie
(This is a Sizzix sample)Mine sample will be coming soon!
My package arrived yesterday with the new scoreboard dies from sizzix and my doubts about them were really put to rest. These dies are designed to cut and score the heavier materials such as chipboard & Matboard, and they do this wonderfully. I was up until 2 this morning working on a project using the XL Scoreboard Notebook Pocket die and the more I worked the more I loved it!! I have the bigshot machine, and I am sure glad that Barrie talked me into getting it, as it really does cut all the dies that are on the market, and I was able to clear out some room by putting away my revolution, cuttlebug, and squeeze (although I have my squeeze handy for those onsie cuts I make with the quickutz dies). I know that we have talked about carrying the bigshot machine, and the bigshot pro, so if your in the market for either one of these machines, let us know, we just may be able to help!!
Ok, back to my craft room to finish up the project so I can get some pictures posted!!

New Dies Are In
We are so very excited to see the new Sizzix Dies starting to arrive. They are really coming out with some fun new things and I(Carol) can't wait to get mine from Barrie so I can play with them. We are also anxiously awaiting for the CHA items to ship as we are dying to get some new kits together and up in the store. I have been busy die cutting the albums and embellishments to go in the kits, and once the paper, ribbons, bling, and more arrive we will get them together and up for sale. We did make a decision that we would do real crystals in our kits, as they are so much nicer, and they shine so much more!!
I have been playing with some samples that we brought back with us, and as soon as my camera batteries charge I will take some pictures and post them here.
We are gearing up, excited for what is coming, and hope you will hang on for the ride too ! We are glad your here and look forward to some long and lasting relationships with each of you !
