CHA 2013

What an amazing time CHA was this year... We got to see so many people, do so many things and it seems to takes a while for this old brain to process it all. Barrie, Laura and Joy arrived a day early as Laura was scheduled to teach a class for G45 and the other girls pitched in to help her out. I am sure Barrie was wondering if she was going to actually be able to make it, as Laura and Joy left her before she got her britches on. She struggled for a half hour, but managed to get them on and buttoned... She really was a trooper and had a great time even if she was in a cast and limited as to what she could do.
Suzanne Shinji once again took care of all of our hotel needs by bringing us goodies to sustain us during our visit... she brought so much stuff they had to bring it up to the room on the Bell Hop Cart... Next year we are making sure that they are put in Mine and Barrie's room as we were not aware that there were M&M's !!! I think Joy got all of those !

Jim, Cesar and I all flew into  Long Beach airport and were picked up by Leisa Herbst, and Carolyn Price. We stopped at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant for dinner before going to the hotel and the food was fantastic, but the company was even better !!
I just can not get use to tossing peanut shells on the floor and having it be ok.

These gals also make us great gifts when we come and we so love them all !! You two are the Best Best Best... And Leisa even took us back to the airport too !!! Thank you !!

We were all excited to head over to the convention center on opening day.. we must have made quite the site walking over as there were quite the group of us.. We had to stop and take a picture and of course you can see who had a new phone.... The sun was out, but boy was it cold..

The first thing we wanted to see was the envelope maker from We R Memory Keepers and that is where we headed first.... Jim and I jumped in and did their make and take to see how it works and we do believe that you all are going to Love it.... works like a dream and you can do every size envelope you can imagine !
Then we were off to discover all of the other goodies and we were pleasantly pleased with what there was to see....
************
Cheery Lynn dies ...

Cherry Lynn had a wonderful chicken wire die

A lattice die that they made the cutest arbor out of

And my favorites of course are all of the bird and bird cage dies
************

Then it was on to Kaiser Craft ... need we say more ?

Kaiser Craft of course knocked my socks off with some of their Beyond the Page Storage..
Here is the Cupboard, the Tool caddy and a couple of their other chests, and display items.

They have new metals coming out... label holders, drawer pulls, corners and hitch posts.... I think the thing that impressed me the most about this release was that each package has 12 of the same finish it it... I like that as there are some projects that just need more of the same finish and I won't have to buy two or three packages to get the amount I need.

Their wood elements make me crazy !!

And lets not forget their wonderful stamps and papers !
***************

With so much excitement and activity, Barrie needed a bit of arm support and of course there was a Gentleman there to help out....
***********

The new Dylusions Sprays.... we have them on order !
***************

Sizzix.... always to die for ( pun intended )

Embossing Folders and Pop & Cuts Dies
(notice I chose the coffee one to show)
*****************

Farm House was a new Company (at least to us)
And we really loved what they had to offer

Blank Books

Metals

And some great paper collections too
************
FabScraps .... oh la la !

I had to stop by the FabScrap booth and say hello to the lovely ladies who so kindly sent me a big box of goodies for winning their October contest.... They are so nice and I just love all of their goodies

They have new embellishments and they let us know to keep our eyes open for more fabulous catches to add to the others that we can not keep in stock !

Jim and Cesar had to take a sit down break....

************
Prima Is always a hit

New Metals

Blank Books

Templates

Wood elements
***********

So that is about all I have pictures of... I always seem to forget that I have my camera or get just too busy to stop to take pictures !!!
We are hoping to have the Envelope Board in soon... We should know on the 21st when the ship date will be... I am really excited for you all to get your hands on these... They were the hit of the show for sure.
I took a ton of pictures the night of our Pizza Party, and when I uploaded them they were all blurry and not one of them was usable..... We did have a great time and want to thank all who came... We sure did enjoy our time together and hope that we an all do it again next year !

Oh, one last thing... we did find some of the Memory Wire that Barrie has been searching years for. They gave us a sample and Jim is always one to think outside the box on new product uses.
I think he was hoping it would work like the breathe right stips  since he had such a stuffy nose...
I told him he could keep it when he offered to give it back...

Thanks for looking and we hope you have enjoyed all of the recaps that have been on the web
Hugs to you all

Off To The Races

As Carol Says...

We only have 4 more "sleeps"...and then we are off to CHA. The whole gang will be there this time. Joy will be going this year so the whole gang will be together for the very first time! It is so hard to believe we do as much as we all do as a team being spread clear across the country as far as it is geographically possible. That is why we love going to CHA...not just to see all the new goodies...but to spend some quality time with each other. Our time together brings out the best and the worst feelings possible. The best being the big warm hug "Hello"...and the worst being the long, lingering and tearful hug "Good-bye".It's a pitiful sight...lol. But we really do cherish this time together.

Well...we have seen a few of the new things that will debut at the show and we know we will be stocking up on the new G45 collections...and the new Timmy stuff. But the thing that really has us bug-eyed is the new "Envelope Punch Board" from We R Memory Keepers. We are so excited to play with t and see what it can do. Boy is my head exploding with ideas for all sizes of envelopes...and we are dying to put in a huge order! We hope the price will be in the twenty dollar range so everyone can get one...and so we can give a few away for "Blog Candy". We will be headed there first ...so we will let you all know as soon as we do...
You can just click it and it will take you to a great demo video!

I better rest up so I am feeling chipper for travel. We will pick back up with some blog fun when we get back. I will probably take this time while I am "down" to learn the "eClips" and learn to make svg files. I can't work with paper, ink and glue...but I can use my laptop!

Keep watchin' the blogs for any updates...we will be posting regularly from the show floor.

We will miss you all....but we'll be back very soon...with a sac full of loot!

Big Hugs!
g'nite,
Barrie & Carol
