Passport Mini Album By Carol Hester

I know it has been a little while since we posted on the blog.. summer time seems to take its toll on time as you now not only have the indoor activities but the outdoor as well… We found this Sizzix Passport Album die and I fell in love with it

Sizzix Passport Cropped

.. it is small but packs a big punch. The die cuts out the spine, covers and pages too and even has the holes for assembly . I wish I had watched Ashleigh’s video on sewing her signatures into a book before putting this together, but will keep it handy for the next one I make…  One of the other bonuses from this was I was able to use the 6 1/2 x 6 1/12 Kaisercraft Now Boarding Paper Pad and it not only had more than enough paper for one, but could easily do Two… Even the 6x6 paper pads will work …

So.. the die, the paper pad and a few sheets of Cardstock can make one Big Mini…

We even have these cut out and ready to go so you can get the die or just the Album Die Cut

I chose to cut my base book out of Black Chipboard (which is what we offer cut out in the store, but you can request natural )   I did not want to have to paint or cover the spine so black worked best with this paper choice.  The paper pad is single sided papers and also has cut apart sheets as well as some really fun die cuts.

There are three sections in the album and I cut two inserts for each one, giving me me 8 pages per section for a total of 24 pages in the album.

I tried to make places for pictures ( they will be 2x3 images) and for journaling.

and made quite a few of the pages into pockets to hold tags for pictures and journaling

The Papers in the collection and the extra die cut embellishments made this a snap to decorate. I did round the corners of each of the photo mats using the WRMK Corner Chomper as I was able to cut several photo mats out at once and chomp them all at the same time . Everything was inked using the Ranger  Black Soot Distress Ink

One of the papers in the collection has the cutest mini tickets that you can fussy cut and add to different places through out the album for added fun.

Another great thing about the paper pad is it comes with die cut borders that are easily fitted to the size of these pages and can be used to hold more tags ..

I really think my nephew and his new bride will enjoy having this to add their honeymoon pictures into. A nice little book to sit on their coffee table to remind them of how great it is to be in love.. I look forward to using this die over and over again…

So here is a list of what it took to make this album

Sometimes the greatest things come in the smallest packages…
