We are all home safe and sound and I know I am happy to be here. The hubbie was happy to see me, and of course Sam our pup was ecstatic too, but I think more of that was for the fact that now he will not have to be torn away from his friend the heater at 4:30 in the morning to go out and do his business.
We were all a tad bit concerned when we were checking into the airport that our bags would be over the weight limit, as we brought home a ton of catalogs for future shopping and they weigh a ton.
We placed several orders with companies such as
Spellbinders, Pink Paisley, Petaloo, Glitz Design, Ranger, Punch Bunch & Sizzix
We have plans with products from other companies, but until we actually figure out what those projects are, we are waiting to order so we can get exactly what you will need.
Spending time with Barrie and Laura was amazing, and we had quite a few giggle fests, which is cleansing for the soul to say the least. We spent a lot of time brain storming, bouncing ideas off of each other and it really is wonderful how we all think in the same color, and can start with A and end up with Z and never loose the original vision. All we can say is hold on to your paper trimmer girls, this year is going to rock !!!
For the most part we were disappointed in the fact that the show had nothing to offer that left us breathless and having to pick ourselves up off the floor. I am sure that the companies are facing the same economical challenges that the rest of us have faced and they have pared back as well. They seem to have been expanding on the products that are out on the market and are popular, and revisiting them in different shapes, sizes and colors. But you know we can make that all work for some amazing things.
We really did enjoy meeting Tim, and he is as nice in person as he is on his videos and in his classes, but the best thing that happened this week end for me, was to be able to once again spend a few days with Barrie, as she is the best person in the world, and getting to know Laura better. These are two amazing Ladies, with hearts the size of the universe and I am totally blessed to be able to call them friends !!!
Have a great day and watch for new things to start arriving some time next week and up through the end of March beginning of April !!
Blessings Carol

Punch Bunch Flowers

  1. Oh I love those 'cakes' of Punch Bunch Flowers...whatever that is? I am lucky to live not far from Laura and have taken classes in person from her....she's the best and so darn amazingly talented.

  2. Welcome home, Carol & Barrie! Sounds like it was time well spent if only to acquaint yourselves better. The bonus was to go to CHA together! I agree with you Carol that the economy has hit the companies but we also have to remember that so many scrapbook stores (CHA customers) have closed. With less people there, it only dominoes up to the wholesalers. Too bad. It will be interesting to see whether relocating to Anaheim will have any effect on attendees. Looking forward to all the new products. Love the punch a bunch. Have to say the hydrangeas are my favorite! They are soooo cute! Thanks for sharing with us. Again, welcome home!

  3. Welcome back! Carol, you and Barrie are the best. I'm glad you got some time together. :) Can't wait to see what goodies you have for us.

  4. Welcome home! Glad all of you made it home safe and sound. Love the flower picture you've posted! Yes, they do look like cakes! Can't wait to hear more of your fun at CHA!

  5. Welcome back home! Oh my, the punch bunch flowers are gorgeous!

  6. Welcome home Barrie & Carol!! It was so great to (briefly) see you on the ustream show. lol Can't wait to start shopping away with you guys. ((hugs)) Catherine aka KitCatherine
