Half a Year Down The Drain.....

Well everyone...the first half of 2010 is officially in the books. Can you believe it's almost time to think about Thanksgiving and Christmas again....whew...where does time go?
I hope everyone had a marvelous holiday weekend. I certainly did. I got to play...which is something I rarely get to do. On Friday I actually got to tune in to a class on UStream that I had been looking forward to all week. Laura Dennison teaches and I like the things she does...she is so talented.

We have an ad posting on Donna Downey's site in a few days. We are so excited about this. Donna is such a sweetheart and we feel truly blessed to be able to hook up with her. It should expand our viewers and hopefully add more talented ladies to our growing family. We needed a new "button" to live on Donna's blog so we contacted our web lady Bev. She is one amazingly creative gal. Some of the stuff she comes up with literally stops me in my tracks. And it is so easy for her....Anyway she is making an animated button for us...and we are anxiously awaiting it's completion. Hope it is as cute as we're thinking it will be.

Here is the mini album I made this weekend. It's called Sunburst Mini. This is one of Laura's original designs. As soon as I saw the one she made I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the design. You can see how it just "bursts" open with accordion pockets and roomy tags. I used the "Que Sera" by K&;Co. That paper is so bright and cheery. I also used a Martha Stewart punch "Chrysanthemum" and a few BossKut flower dies for the tag toppers. Besides some glue and some tape that is about all the supplies I needed for the whole album....oh yeah...I used a few bling things...

If I could have worked without interruption I could have finished this in a few hours...but it took me two days  because I couldn't find a solid chunk of time to work Let me know what ya think!

I also started a "Green" project for Carol's last challenge. I'm trying to finish that one too. I know Carol is waiting to offer up a new challenge so I'd better get crackin'!

Have some fun in the sun,
      Aloha,

  1. Adorable !!!! I think I may have to find a chunk of time and make one of these myself. I am delighted you got to play some this week end, and I am sure it was refreshin to your soul.
