Let's meet the New Scrapadabadoo Design Team Members

Lots going on in our little corner of the world! If you follow us on Facebook you have heard that we now have a fabulous new Design Team...and I must say we scored the cream of the crop. We could not be happier with the submissions we received and we had a difficult time deciding on a core group. Several of the other entries are so wonderful  that  we want to find a way to  use all the talent that came our way...so keep watching for projects from them too.
Most of you know and love many of our DT members and you have seen some of the projects they have posted...and we know you will love the new gals to...
We'd like to introduce you to the new Scrapadabadoo Design Team;

Wendy Kats

I am mom to my son Steven
I used to enjoy quilting and knitting until I discovered paper crafting about 2 years ago.
Since then that has been the focus of my crafting. My style would be described as vintage with a side of shabby chic.
Construction is my passion and more often I will reach for metal embellishments before any flowers.
Paper crafting takes most all of my free time and sleep is impossible when I have an idea pop into my head.

Heather Bickhoff
Mackay, Queensland, Australia

I am a retired Teacher Aid
I am married and mother to two adult sons.
My addiction to paper crafting started with card making in the early 90's and branched out to scrapbooking in 2000 when I began to journal  and scrap my family history branching out to all areas of crafting.
I find crafting and creating to be very relaxing and therapeutic . Getting lost in a project give me great pleasure and it's a wonderful way to relieve stress.

Canvas Inspired Bird House

I loved watching Ashliegh of scrapsbuttonsnbows make her canvas and it has inspired me to finish a birdhouse that has been sitting on my shelf, primed and painted for a very long time. The bird house was one that I had picked up at one of the big box stores. I started out with the roof where I used the Tim Holtz Burlap Stencil  And the Deco Art Modeling Paste..something new for me to try. I enjoyed it and think I will do more …  then added a bit of Lindy's and a bit of Gilders paste...From there it was adding things from my stash and having fun with new things in the store... I just kept going and this is the result !! I now have it on my dining room table with some Easter Eggs. Great decoration and I had so much fun doing things that I had not done before… Guess I need to do the I think I can I think I can more often…

Thanks for looking and hope you find inspiration in nooks and crannies all over the place !!

NEW Petaloo!

Sorry I could not keep my eyes open any longer last nite to put these up...but I promise it was worth the wait. We do have so much fun searching for the absolute best goodies to bring you all. I hope you enjoy it all and if there is something you want and I missed it...please let us know! Sometimes I get overwhelmed looking at so many beautiful things.
Here are some of the new Petaloo items that just landed.

There are some really nice pinks to use for the Breast Cancer Awareness project that Kathryn is hosting

The black is absolutely stunning

And lets not forget the natural burlap that is so hot right now!

See all the colors that came in under "What's New"

Also see Carol's new challenge for this week over on Scrapadabadoo Crafts on FaceBook.  You can still submit a card for the previous challenge. There is no end date. So push yourself a little and see what you come up with. I think you will surprise yourself!

Have a fabulous weekend. Hope Spring is coming to a town near you ...soon!

Hugs to you all,
Barrie & Carol

New Prima & Petaloo

I don't know how Prima does it but they sure do make the prettiest products.
We just got in the Princess, Something Blue, Stationers Desk and three of the Julie Nutting Metal Die and Doll Stamps: Zoe, Halie and Gracie... these are so adorable and fun to make with the sets.
I am sure Zandra will do some fun and inspiring projects with these Doll dies and stamps. We have had a fun time so far with what she has done thus far with just the stamps.
How cute is this...look at the little poodle!!

Adorable boots and pigtails
And a cute mini skirt and a "side pony".

There are some doll size tags to compliment these cuties.

The Prima Papers are so yummi- luscious and just so....Prima!
Something Blue and  Princess are soft and feminine. Besides the 12 x 12,   A4 and 6 x 6 pads they also came out with the ATC pads that have 15 designs in the 3 x 4" size. Great for accents or journal spots

Stationer's Desk has deep tones, bold stripes and striking florals. Even if these aren't your colors you will like this collection.

Now that I have your attention...I am headed to bed ...heehee...
I will post the beautiful Petaloo flowers that just came in tomorrow. But if you want to see them now you can look in the store under "What's New"

Sweet Dreams  Lovely Ladies

Happy Valentine's Day!

I always think of this as the turning point where we start to leave the cold weather behind and look ahead to Spring. I think everyone is sick of this cold and nasty weather.
This also is the time when all the new stuff we ordered from CHA is starting to roll in. We just got in the first wave from Petaloo and the new Bo Bunny has arrived. Next to come in should be Prima.
We have added a new section to the store  "Coming Soon" where we will list all the products that we know have been shipped and are due to arrive within a few days. That way you can get a "sneak peek".

We got in some new dies from Impression Obsession. The little Cupids are delightful and the Heart Flourish is so beautiful and has so many useful parts! I made this card using both the Cupids and pieces from the Heart Flourish.

Be sure to check the new Lindy's colors we have coming. I am so addicted!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hugz,
Barrie & Carol
