Time Traveler Doll Tag By Debi

Carol and Barrie of Scrapadabadoo Crafts sent me some the delicious Prima Time Traveler papers and embellishments. I wanted to share a tag I made with the Prima Time Traveler A4 Pad and the Prima Doll Stamp Becky. This is one of my favorite stamps. (Who am I kidding?! I love them all!!)

To start out I stamped the full doll image onto the Prima Script Pad.

Next I stamped the doll onto the Time Traveler papers.

Here are some of the pieces I fussy cut.
025
After cutting all the pieces out I used my black marker to cover the white edges.
026
I then took some foam tape and began layering the skirt.
027
Here you can see I only added foam tape to the bottom of each layer of her skirt to give it some dimension.

Here I added foam tape to just the bottom of her shirt and wet glue to the upper half.
037
This is a side view of the shirt and skirt to show you the layers.

I then added the shoulder patches and hat with glue. I had already added her boots with glue as well.
042
With my doll completed, I began making the tag for her. I used a #8 tag, in black, and layered the Time Traveler paper on top. I wanted it to look aged some, so I tore it diagonally and glued it down.
043
I turned it over and trimmed off the excess.
044
Using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink I distressed the edges.
046
I then decided to use more of the Time Traveler papers to cover more of the tag. I fussy cut the flowers and gauges as well.
047
I applied glue along the left side and bottom of the flower piece to create a pocket.
048

053
I glued the gauge pieces on the right side and added foam tape to the back of the doll and placed her on the tag.
055
I cut out the Time Travel from the paper to make a small banner and added that to the bottom using foam tape. I added one of the Prima Time Traveler ATC Pad cards along with  Prima Time Traveler Tag Me Tags & Tickets. To top it all off I used seam binding to make a messy bow.

Voila!

I hope you like her and it inspires you to make one as well.
